Kim Richards Might Actually Be a Drunk (sad trombone)

I admit it. I am a Housewives junky. I watch all of them and my new favorite (right behind NYC, of course) is Beverly Hills. I love the drama that ensues when these ladies are together. I was not a huge fan of Kim Richards at the beginning of the season. I thought she was a needy drain on her younger sister, Kyle. As the season progressed, poor Kim was ganged up on regularly by Kyle and Taylor then outcast by the rest of the women. I started to feel genuinely sorry for her. Her apparent loneliness that came from working away her childhood and being divorced was one of the harder story lines to follow on the show. Her life just seems so sad and solitary.
On the finale episode, Kim and Kyle got into a huge blow out at Taylor’s birthday party. Kim was WAY out of it, to say the least. Slurring, stammering and downright socially awkward is the only way I can describe it. After a very odd (Kim hiding in a limo with her “former date” Martin while riding in circles around the block. I have no idea.) and uncomfortable turn of events, Kyle revealed that Kim was an alcoholic. It kind of all came together and made sense, but I didn’t want to believe it. It’s all just too depressing for my favorite show. Where’s a good old prostitution whore when you need one?
Now shit is starting to surface about Kim… Sigh. In July, she was clearly under the influence of who knows what at the San Francisco International Airport. She was bothering the airport staff and was then escorted out. TMZ has the video. It was also revealed on the season finale that Kim’s family entered her into rehab and she checked herself out within 2 weeks. Sad face. I hope Kim gets the help she needs!
